Merol has two types of Load Cells. Tension Type & Compression Type. 

Tension-type load cells are used with the breakup Manual Tong as well as with makeup Manual Tongs during the operation. The load cell comes with a digital indicator that indicates the torque applied during the makeup & break-up of pipe, tubing, casing joints & drill collars. Load helps is a very important instrument that helps operators to show the actual torque applied which may reduce the chance of any accident or causality.  

The torque is indicated in foot-pounds applied. 

Compression-type load cells are available in four capacities. All load cells are heavy duty and the life span of the load cell is supreme longevity, if calibrated & maintained as per the OEM user manual.

• Compression model load cells for Drill Pipe Slip designed for 100T,150T, and 250T.

• Compression model load cells for Master Bushing designed 500T.
